We recently had some work done on the exterior of our house and in the process replaced our old shutters and windows boxes to update the look of our home. I went to FIVE local home improvement stores to try and find replacement window boxes and found NOTHING that would work. I decided to do a search on the internet and found a wonderful selection of planters & boxes on your website. www.hooksandlattice.com

I placed an order and the boxes were shipped fairly quickly. Here is a before and an after photo showing your Iron Venetian Decora window boxes in the after photo. Thanks!

Laguna Premier Window Box in Riverside, Illinois

Thank you Hooks and Lattice!!!
We have had more compliments on our home since we put up your window boxes and shutters. Good grief--people stop their cars in the middle of the street, back up, and pull in our driveway just to chit chat about how different the house looks. We can see how the neighbors start a more leisurely pace on their walks once they get to in front of our house. Can you believe we even had a neighbor ask us to cut down the tree in our front yard so that he could have a better look at our beautiful "new" home? Wish we would have made this change long ago, and we are so glad we finally did.
Thanks again from Riverside, Illinois!! Some pictures are attached--enjoy.
Best,
Jennie

Premier Catalina Window Box-

Hello,

Thank you for the opportunity to share our window box and garden pictures. I mentioned to Michele quite some time ago when we purchased the 13 foot window boxes that I would send some pictures. I have lots more pictures, but I picked the ones that I thought would be of interest. I hope that I am not sending too many.

We absolutely love our window boxes and are so happy to have found your web site. Everyone always compliments on them, they are just great quality. I have passed your name on to many friends.

Kindest Regards,
Roger and Lilly

Beth's XL Carolina Cononut Coir Lined Window Box

Hello Hooks and Lattice:

What fun I have had with my new window boxes. They have drawn so much attention to my home that I received Yard-of-the-Month for the first time in the 15 years of living in this home. When I planted them in April, I had no idea that the plants would grow so large. The dragon wing begonias, caladiums, and asparagus ferns offer fantastic color and texture, and they are perfect for the eastern exposure. The Carolina window boxes hold more soil than a traditional window box, and I am sure that has been beneficial. I am extremely happy with my Hooks and Lattice window boxes.

Thanks.

Beth

Megan Duvall's Window Box in Washington

Hello Everyone at Hooks and Lattice!

Here are this year's window boxes! Attached are the photos of the new "railing" composite Hampton box which has the planter well and worms in it. Although it was planted a full 4 weeks after my other containers and boxes, it did incredibly well and I have only watered it a couple of times. The railing box matches the 72" Hampton box that I purchased last summer and hangs on the front of the house. I put in an overview shot of the house so you can see how great both boxes look!

You'll also find a shot of one of two 48" Windsor boxes that are attached to my kitchen windows - the second is on the other side of that window and it makes washing dishes very pleasant with my view of beautiful window boxes full of petunias! I enjoy them as much from the inside as I do from outside.

Thanks for all of your help!

I may send a couple "replacement" pictures in the next couple of days if the rain here hasn't hammered the flowers too badly - the sun was awfully bright the day that I took those shots and I think that I can do better with a bit less direct light!

Premier XL Catalina Window Box

Premier XL Catalina window box made of composite cellular PVC that will not rot, warp or split due to moisture.

Premier Cellular Composite PVC does not look anything like the PVC furniture that is so common in the backyard these days. In fact, we have had numerous people including cabinet makers touch and feel our Premier Composite PVC material and mistaken it for real wood.

Our best testimony to date for our window boxes and planters made from our Premier Composite PVC material has to be our 16 large Hotel Del Coronado Planters.

The Hotel Del Coronado is a landmark hotel that is famous for being one of the largest historic "ALL WOOD" hotels in the country. Considered on of the top hotels in the world, the Hotel Del Coronado was designated a National Historic landmark in 1977. Famous people from Presidents to Kings have stayed at the Hotel and now we can proudly say the our Hooks and Lattice "Hotel Del Coronado Planters" made of 100% Premier Cellular PVC are a permanent resident at the hotel. These Premier Composite Planters were left unpainted and everyone that walks by believes that they are made of wood.

We were told at the beginning of the project in the Spring of 2007 that the Hotel Del Coronado was not going to install above ground wood planters anymore because they were to difficult to maintain. Hooks and Lattice help change that decision by providing the Hotel with a wood looking alternative that is virtually maintenance free.

Thousands of visitors including some of the most prominent people in the world pass by our large jacuzzi size wood looking planters that are made of unpainted Premier Cellular PVC.

Click here to view our Self Watering Planter Well Reservoirs. They are a great solution for the gardener that wants to conserve water. These planter well reservoir are great in planters and window boxes are in hard to reach locations such as a second story window.

Magan also added our worm castings with worms to organically fertilize with planter that is on her railing. Worms will continually fertilize your planters and irrigate the soil at the same time.

Window Boxes on a shed

Hi -- I know that I'm too late for the contest but wanted to show you our window boxes on our shed, complete with curtains. We keep our gardening tools in it. We'll eventually have a few trees around it but haven't gotten that far yet. Thanks for your window boxes -- we love them. Gloria F - Carlsbad, CA.

Roxane's XL Carolina Window Boxes

Roxane in Wisconsin is one of our favorite customers. She send us pictures and emails with each new season. I hope you enjoy Roxane's window box pictures as much as we do.

Customer Comments:

1st Email - Here are the pictures I promised you! I have really enjoyed your small town friendliness in the big city of San Diego . I have really enjoyed doing business with you!

Roxane - Wisconsin

2nd Email - How have you been?? I'm sending you some pictures of my window boxes from last summer. As you can see, my flowers grow quite well in my XL Carolina boxes. The pictures are taken earlier in the summer then I took some later to show the growth. Lots of room in my window boxes.....with plants that large on top they also have quite a root developement underneath. The depth of my window boxes contributes to such a beautiful display.I also included some bonus pictures of my rain chains. We received soooo much snow in the past 4 weeks and now the weather has started to warm up. As the snow melts off the roof it runs down the copper cups and as it cools off it freezes. Since SD doesn't get snow I thought you would enjoy seeing a beautiful display of nature!!

Take Care and Keep in touch,Roxane

ps. feel free to use my pictures on your website....I also will need 4 more XL Carolina boxes but not until the end of May.

We love it!

As promised so many months ago – you asked for pix – and I promised I would send them (I’ve also included a before pix)
Attached are the pix.

Thanks for your patience.
